In April 2022, Ubisoft will release the much-awaited mobile game Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. Will mack The game in collaboration with WeGame.
The rumours about a mobile version of the game started last year after Ubisoft Halifax surveyed to gauge players' familiarity with the game. During a recent earnings call, Tencent mentioned that the game could be released sometime in 2023.
Details about the mobile version of the game are still unclear. However, it's believed to follow a traditional mobile game rollout. Various PC and console games have started appearing on mobile devices in the past couple of years.
A source noted that the game's mobile version would be massive for the market. It's also expected to be an excellent game for Siege fans.
Since its release in 2015, the game has gained immense popularity. In 2020, over 70 million people had already registered to play the game across various platforms. Tencent is also working with the company to bring other games from its intellectual property to the mobile market.
Last year, reported that the company stopped the sale of a clone of the game called Area F2. According to the company, the game looked very similar to the original.
The company decided to dismiss its complaints against Google, Apple, and Enjoy following the incident. The company noted that it would continue to protect its intellectual property.
Since then, there has been very little news about developing a mobile version of the game. All changed after a user posted a playtest survey sent out by Ubisoft Halifax. The survey, which contained hints, led to speculations about the possible release of a mobile version of the game.
