The latest mobile game in the Final Fantasy XV universe, War for Eos, is scheduled to launch in Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Coming out of nowhere, War for Eos is Square Enix's next attempt at launching a strategy game based on the iconic franchise. This is not the first time they've tried this route, though, with the previous game being called A New Empire.
With War for Eos, the developers have a chance to make that right or at least take the criticism that fans gave to A New Empire. It's also a chance to create a base game that will allow players to build their strategy.
If you're one of the lucky few who played with War for Eos, you can find it on Google Play for free. Unfortunately, it's currently unavailable on iOS. There's no word on when this will change, and we're hoping that it will eventually launch globally.
Main features:
- Start creating your empire with a preferred character (Noctis, Cindy, etc.).
- Travel to other realms, collect resources, fortify your kingdom, and build a strong army.
- Strategize the epic wars to conquer the battles and take control over the Crystal.
- Create the ultimate Guild or join up with already-powerful forces
- Become a legend by taking control of the Crystal and ruling the Realm
If you are one of the lucky few who get to go hands-on with War For Eos, you can find it specifically on Google Play for free. The game is currently unavailable for iOS, and there’s no word on when that may change either. Hopefully, that will come alongside a global release at some point in the near future. Until then, here’s hoping that War For Eos can get the formula right and give us the MMO strategy Final Fantasy game of our dreams.
